OVERVIEW: 

The Director of Brand is the enterprise owner of brand-level P&L performance across the Antelope portfolio. This leader is responsible for accelerating revenue growth, expanding contribution margin, and building scalable brand engines that increase enterprise value.

This role blends general management, innovation strategy, portfolio optimization, and brand building. You will own brand P&L delivery, drive disciplined capital allocation, lead innovation that fuels incremental revenue and EBITDA annually, and ensure world-class storytelling and activation across all channels.

This is a highly cross-functional leadership role that partners closely with Sales, Finance, Operations, Growth, and Creative to deliver profitable growth while strengthening the long-term equity of our brands.


RESPONSIBILITIES:

Consumer Insights & Brand Strategy

  • Stand up brand health tracking and use insights to drive investment, messaging, and channel strategy
  • Deliver regular consumer, category, and competitive insights to senior leadership with clear, actionable recommendations
  • Build scalable consumer listening frameworks that directly inform portfolio strategy
  • Develop segmentation strategies that improve media efficiency and messaging effectiveness
  • Ensure brand positioning, identity, and voice remain consistent and refreshed across channels

Brand Management & Growth

  • Own portfolio brand P&L, driving revenue growth while maintaining strong contribution margins
  • Lead multi-year brand growth roadmaps with clear paths to increased household penetration and buy rate
  • Lead major brand repositioning and rebrand initiatives to return underperforming brands to growth
  • Oversee multiple brands through direct reports with full P&L accountability
  • Execute integrated marketing plans to increase brand awareness and achieve revenue targets
  • Identify and resolve margin erosion in partnership with Sales, Finance, and Operations

Innovation Strategy

  • Own and prioritize a rolling consumer-validated innovation pipeline delivering meaningful incremental revenue and margin annually
  • Expand core platforms into adjacent and high-growth categories
  • Lead category expansion from validation through launch and post-launch performance tracking
  • Drive incremental net sales from innovation across brands
  • Secure new product placements in key retail partners and expand distribution into priority channels

Portfolio & Channel Strategy

  • Lead marketing input into SKU rationalization and portfolio optimization to improve gross margin and eliminate low-performing SKUs
  • Deliver margin expansion through pricing and portfolio mix optimization
  • Increase overall SKU velocity through focused distribution and prioritization
  • Partner with Sales to build a prioritized product pipeline across Retail, E-commerce, and DTC
  • Protect and grow key strategic accounts while reducing channel concentration risk

Leadership & Special Projects

  • Coach brand management team into independent brand leaders with full strategy and P&L ownership
  • Build the brand function into a scalable center of excellence with clear frameworks and standards
  • Proactively identify risks, surface trade-offs, and bring solutions that drive enterprise value
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 8-10+ years of brand management, general management, or marketing leadership experience within CPG, ideally in food, wellness, or pet
  • Proven ownership of brand or business P&L with demonstrated revenue growth and margin expansion
  • Experience leading innovation pipelines that deliver meaningful incremental revenue
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to translate strategy into measurable P&L outcomes
  • Track record of leading cross-functional teams across Sales, Finance, and Operations
  • Experience managing and developing high-performing brand teams
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with comfort operating in a fast-paced, acquisition-driven environment
  • MBA preferred 
  • Must love dogs or cats (and treats!)
  • This is a remote position; however, candidates must reside in the United States
